1. RECOVERY RADIO TO FEATURE METH MONTH DURING OCTOBER
 
1. Methamphetamine addiction is the most serious- and scary- scourge of addiction that this nation has ever seen. Although not the biggest in term of numbers, the demonic qualities of meth addiction, and the tenacity with which it grabs addicts- make it by far the most challenging addiction in our nation today. Further, treatment of methamphetamine addiction has been until now one of the most vexing and frustrating addictions to treat.

In light of this huge national problem, Recovery Radio has announced October to be METH MONTH. Each show this month will feature some aspect of Methamphetamine. We will highlight the reasons why Meth is such a horrible drug...what it does to people..how it damages the brain...the crime that is forthcoming...and...most importantly....how to deal with it most successfully.

Recovery Radio Show was ON THE ROAD!! To Phoenix, that is. Just last week Bob, Dave, and Dr Steve jumped on a plane to visit our Phoenix affiliate, 1100AM KFNX, and to attend the September 24, 2005 "Art of Recovery Expo" at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. We did our ADDICTIONS: Revealed, Part 3 show called "Addiction: How Does It Work". Lots of good calls, too!! This was the first of many "Recovery Radio on the Road to Recovery" special shows!! 3. THIS WEEK'S SHOW

This Saturday we will begin our METH MONTH series with the first of four special shows centered on the scourge of methamphetamine addiction. The first of this series is titled "Meth is Big Business: The Crime of Crystal Methamphetamine in the USA". Here, we will ponder the origins of "crank" / "crystal"/ "speed" /"meth". What it is, what it does, how it kills. How it creates a very scary toxic paranoid psychosis, which can be permanent. It is demonic, it is scary, it is terrible. But it IS TREATABLE.
